Wozep update meeting on 16 April 2019

The annual update meeting for the Wozep programme was in Scheveningen on Tuesday, 16 April 2019. There were several presentations in the morning on the scope and background of Wozep. They also covered the use of Wozep results for site decisions about the next round of Dutch offshore wind farms.

In the afternoon, researchers talked about areas such as: bat detectors and radio telemetry research for bats, the development of population models for birds (for habitat loss and collision risk), the analysis of Harbour Porpoise strandings and a literature study addressing ecosystem effects. The meeting was attended by approximately 80 people from a range of backgrounds, including government, the wind industry and consultancies.

All presentations (mostly in Dutch) will be available from the Noordzeeloket.
