Nature conservation organisations and Natura 2000

Zeehond

In addition to the stakeholders with an economic interest in the use of the North Sea, other social organisations and research institutes for conservation of nature and the environment are involved in Natura 2000. Over the past few years they have closely followed the designation of Natura 2000 areas and have taken an active role in drawing up management plans. That still applies to the plans that are in the pipeline.
