Namens Trinomics, en in samenwerking met Milieu, nodigen wij u graag uit om deel te nemen aan een stakeholderworkshop op donderdag 28 mei 2026 in Brussel en online. Deze workshop ondersteunt de impactbeoordeling en de lopende herziening van de Kaderrichtlijn Mariene Strategie (KRM), uitgevoerd door de Europese Commissie (DG ENV).

On behalf of Trinomics, and in collaboration with Milieu, we are pleased to invite you to participate in a stakeholder workshop on Thursday, 28 May 2026 in Brussels and online, supporting the impact assessment and ongoing revision of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) carried out by the European Commission (DG ENV).
Purpose of the workshop
This workshop is a follow-up to the targeted surveys with non-governmental stakeholders addressing NGOs, businesses, research and academia, to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to understand the current state of the ongoing assessment and links with the future Ocean Act, and to contribute their expertise and advice.
In particular, it will explore perspectives on benefits and socio-economic dependencies of clean and healthy seas, how these measures may interact with sectoral responsibilities and relevant legislation, and how they could affect different groups, including academia and research institutions, businesses and trade associations, and civil society organisations.
Your contributions will help ensure that the assessment reflects scientific, environmental, and operational realities, and supports the development of a coherent, effective, and administratively feasible MSFD framework.
Practical information
The workshop will be held in central Brussels on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 09:30 to 16:00 CEST, with a hybrid setting in the morning and an exclusive in-person setting in the afternoon. This will allow us to reach a wide audience for solicitating a maximum number of views on the one hand and zoom into specific questions on the other.
Concretely, all invited participants may join the morning session online, with in-person attendance available. The afternoon session will be held exclusively in-person and will feature two parallel sessions: one for businesses, and one for NGO and research/academia participants. Lunch will be available for participants that will join the workshop for the entire day.
