GNSBI Cumulative Effects

This quick scan was conducted based on existing studies into cumulative effects in the Greater North Sea Basin. The aim was to identify (urgent) topics regarding the assessment of cumulative effects at the Greater North Sea level.

The quick scan contributes to the insights of the ‘Cumulative Impact Assessments’ working group within the Greater North Sea Basin Initiative (GNSBI) and helps them guide their work. Among other things, the quick scan provides insight into the fact that different CIA methods can lead to different conclusions. This highlights the need for alignment between various cumulative impact assessments. Additionally, it provides insight into existing knowledge and existing knowledge gaps in the field of cumulative impact assessments, enabling the working group to work from a shared knowledge base.
