North Sea Programme 2028–2033

The successor to the North Sea Programme 2022–2027 is the North Sea Programme 2028–2033. The North Sea Programme 2028–2033 serves as the maritime spatial plan for the Dutch North Sea, provides an overview of all policies applicable to the North Sea, and outlines its management. The programme guides the development of the Dutch part of the North Sea in the context of the nature, food, and energy transitions—each with its own objectives—while balancing these against other uses and paying due regard to maritime safety, territorial security, and water safety. The Programme of Measures under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive constitutes an annex to the North Sea Programme.
